SAMD awarded Caltex Eastern Cape Marketer service contract.

SAMD are delighted to announce their selection to provide pump maintenance and support services to Caltex Eastern Cape Marketer for a term of three years, commencing October 2011. This award represents a further development in SAMD’s move into contractual service and maintenance, building on expertise in pump and dispenser maintenance and forecourt automation systems.

Commenting on the award, SAMD Managing Director, Kevin Black said:
“We have worked closely with CECM for the last five years and this represents a strengthening of our relationship. SAMD are delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Bont as Automation Specialist. Gary brings extensive automation experience to the team and will assist with the market development of Fusion Technology, Point of Sale, Fuel Management Systems and other opportunities. Gary has an extensive track record in all manner of automation from his former industry experience at Chevron.

Southern Africa Master Distributors (SAMD) announce the appointment of Kevin Black as Managing Director, with immediate effect. Kevin replaces Pat Munro who served previously as General Manager of Wayne (SA) Pty Ltd and then Managing Director of SAMD from 2004 to date. Pat remains with the company on the board serving as President. Other board changes are Chris Lee who is taking up the position of Sales and Marketing Director.
